The Physician Scientist Training Program (PSTP)'s culture of diversity is greatly enhanced by students with different cultural backgrounds and life experiences.
International applicants offered an interview by the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine’s Admissions Committee who meet the UPSOM terms and conditions for international student admission are welcome and encouraged to apply to the PSTP. International applicants are eligible for tuition assistance, research funding, and the majority of other benefits afforded to domestic PSTP students.
Because the first PSTP summer rotation generally begins on June 1 (much earlier than the regular start of medical school), we suggest that all interested international applicants contact the University of Pittsburgh Office of International Services early in the application process to develop a plan for successful enrollment.
