
Ronit "Papai" Kar has been named a 2025 recipient of the SGIM National Young Scholars in General Internal Medicine Scholarship, a competitive honor awarded to emerging leaders in Internal Medicine for their commitment to academic excellence and future contributions to the field!
He was also recently selected to receive an Early Career Award from the International Society on Thrombosis and Hemostasis (ISTH) in support of his presentation at the ISTH 2025 Congress! This award recognizes the excellence of his research and provides funding to support his attendance at the international meeting. He will be presenting his research year project titled “Understanding the Mechanisms of VWF-Targeting Therapies for Treatment of Thrombi in Acute Ischemic Stroke.”
