The Neurosurgery Research & Education Foundation (NREF) has awarded the Medical Student Summer Research Fellowship (MSSRF) to PSTP students Lilly Tang and Suchet Taori. They will be spending the summer working alongside and being mentored by neurosurgical investigator sponsors from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons as they work to better understand, treat, and prevent neurological disorders.
Lilly’s Project: “Deep Brain Stimulation of the Motor Thalamus for Swallowing and Speech Restoration in Stroke Patients”
Suchet’s Project: “Lactate Reprogramming of the Brain Tumor Microenvironment in Glioblastoma”
