Lee-Kai Sun’s Research Published in Blood Advances and Recognized at Two UPMC Research Days

The PSTP is excited to highlight the recent achievements of Lee-Kai Sun, an MS3 student in our program!

 

His research paper, “AMPK Drives both Glycolytic and Oxidative Metabolism in Murine and Human T Cells During Graft-versus-host Disease” landed a spot in the acclaimed journal Blood Advances, with Lee Kai as the second author. Read the paper here:

Lee-Kai has also presented this research project at the i4Kids symposium held at UPMC Children’s Hospital. He has also been awarded a 3rd place poster award at the Tumour, Transplantation, and Tolerance Retreat.  His work was conducted in the lab of Craig Byersdorfer, MD, PhD.
