Kendall Curtis, a current PSTP research year student, was recently honored with the competitive Trainee Professional Development Award from the Society for Neuroscience. She will use this award to present her PSTP research at the 52nd Society for Neuroscience Annual meeting in Washington, D.C. Her abstract is titled “Quantifying functions recovery of olfactory sensory neuron input to the olfactory bulb after methimazole treatment using OMP-GCaMP6s mice.” She hopes to use this experience as an opportunity to learn more about the latest discoveries in the field of neuroscience.
The 2020 University of Alabama at Birmingham graduate conducts her PSTP-sponsored research in the lab of Claire Cheetham, PhD in the Department of Neurobiology at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
Congratulations, Kendall!!
